Easter Sunday

Easter was busy because we went to visit both my family and Sean's. Luckily for us, the first dinner wasn't until 1pm, so it allowed Ryan to get in a small nap before we went.

We went to my family's first, and Ryan had a good time playing with his cousin Ryder. Ryan was trying to share his beloved Monkey with Ryder, but Ryder really wasn't at all interested in it.

Ryan of course enjoyed their stairs immensely, because he is so into learning how to go up the stairs like adults do, as in just stepping up. So most of the time before dinner was spent making sure he didn't fall down the stairs.
Ryan had a great dinner, the best he has eaten in a long time. He had 3 pieces of turkey, some lamb, and some orzo. They have a doggie door in the dining room that leads to the fenced in backyard. Ryan loved the 4 dogs that were there, especially the little ones because he thought they were funny. He kept petting their ears and laughing. Luckily, he was very gentle with the petting.

Ryder did show Ryan that you can indeed go through the doggie door, so the rest of the afternoon was spent with the boys going through the door and then playing outside with Sean.

At 3:30 we left to head to Sean's parent's house to have dinner there. Ryan did well eating there too, and ate some ham and some potatoes, but wasn't too sure of asparagus. Too bad, it was delicious!

For dessert we had some cupcakes with Peeps on them, and I don't know which Ryan liked more.

The Peeps: (yes, he stuffed the whole thing in his mouth)

Or the cupcake: (which he found particually tasty if eated when poked onto your index finger)

Either way, Uncle Jaron and Auntie Jessie found it too fun to resist trying eating it the new way:

And as an added bonus, for the first time since getting his bed a week ago, he went to sleep in it all by himself without Sean or I sitting with him and he slept for 13 hours straight! YAY! He is in taking a nap right now also without help from mommy or daddy! Yay for progress!!
