Horray, something fun to post about :)
After the stressfulness of the past two weeks, we all really needed to get out and do something fun. We wanted to take Ryan apple picking because I had a feeling he would love it since he liked blueberry picking so much.
We went to Demerrit Hill Farm in Lee, NH because it was close and I have heard some good things about them. They were really busy because it was apparently family weekend, but we had a great time, nonetheless.
Ryan really liked the pumpkins that they had laying around while we waited for the tractor to come back and pick up the next group for the apple orchards. We decided in October we will have to come back to pick out a pumpkin or two. This age is just so much fun. It's just so awesome to see his face light up over the simple things in life. I am just so grateful to have him in my life, he is such a little lovebug.

Anyway, once the tractor got there, Ryan was not so sure he liked the whole ordeal. He had a look of fear on his face the whole time, and started to cry when we were almost to the orchard.
A woman sitting near us started talking to him, and he liked the attention and forgot why he was crying and took up flirting instead. Silly little boy!Once we were off the tractor ride, man was he in heaven! He was just running for all he was worth and having so much fun. The weather couldn't have been more perfect for apple picking. The only downside was that they had cut most of the apple branches on the bottoms of the trees off, so Ryan couldn't pick any apples by himself. We had to pick apples using this long arm thing with a basket on the end. I was kind of bummed about that, but he seemed to have fun regardless.

It was a nice change of pace for us, and a much needed family fun day. My soul feels a little more healed today, and I am just so thankful to have my little sweet man in my life. One thing that this whole event has taught me, is to enjoy every moment, the good and the bad. Life is too precious not to.

Awww. Cute pictures of Ryan. He is such a little cutie pie! Vanessa hated the tractor ride at the orchard too at his age! Loves it now! Give him time.
