Beach Day!

Today was Sean and I's 3 year wedding anniversary! It is amazing to me how fast time has gone by! He wrote me the sweetest message today:

"Three years ago, 'round 5:20 today, She said 'I do' and took my breath away. Tis only the beginning many more to come, Our lives together have merely begun! Happy Anniversary to my beautiful wife"

For our anniversary, we went to the beach and met Sara and Aubrey there. We had planned on going to Long Sands in York, but it was PACKED. There was absolutely nowhere to park. We stopped to ask a couple of people if they were leaving and they very rudely responded, "No." I think they may have been asked it before :P

Finally we drove down to Short Sands and very luckily we were able to fin d a spot to park. Then when Sara met us, I went and stalked the people walking to their cars on foot so I could help her find a place to park. Luckily, she was able to find one pr etty easily too. Next time, we decided that we would carpool down to save us money and the trouble of finding an additional place to park.

It was absolutely beautiful out today, perfect weather for the beach. Which most likely explains why it was SO busy there. The kids had so much fun, and I t hin k everyone will sleep well tonight!

All Sean wanted to do today was build a sandcastle. Too bad the two two-year olds didn't agree! They thought destroying it would be a much better idea!

Aubrey wasn't sure at first if she wanted to go into the water or not. Last time she was at the beach some seaweed got wrapped around her ankle and she was scared to go in. ( I SO know what that is like!) We finally convinced her to try, and then she didn't want to leave!

They both really liked jumping in a hole in the sand that was getting filled by the water.

Ryan discovered another hole in the sand up the beach a little more and they liked sitting in it and having us put sand over their legs.

Then we finished off the afternoon at the park that they have right there. It was so nice, and Aubrey had no fear to go down the huge slide all by herself. She probably went down it 20 times. Ryan was more content to walk around and go up and down the stairs. He went down the slide once by himself too, but didn't seem interested in doing it again. Almost like he was like yup ok I checked it out, now onto other things. All in all, a wonderful, beautiful, perfect day :)

And some other pictures just because I liked them:
