Trick or Treating!

We had decided that this year we would take Ryan Trick or Treating for the first time. He seemed old enough to be able to be interested in it. So we decided to do it in Sean's parents neighborhood since he knows more people there than here. We stopped at my grandmothers house first, since she just got home from Rehab today, as well as my Uncle from California was out whom I haven't seen since Ryan's 1st birthday.

We then went to Sean's parents house, parked and decided that it would be our first stop. Uncle Jaron was the only one home, so he got to see Ryan first. He LOVED his outfit. Ryan is very lucky to have Uncle Jaron. The two of them just have this really special bond. I remember when Ryan was a little baby, sometimes he would get colic and just cry and cry, and nothing Sean and I did could get him to stop. Well, Uncle Jaron could come over and just make him stop crying, each and every time. Anyway, got off on a tangent there.

At first I was concerned that Ryan would be scared, but once he figured out how it worked, he loved it! I couldn't really get him to say Trick or Treat other than one time, but the people seemed just fine with me just saying it for him. He loved that he could go and knock on people's doors and then they gave him candy. It was hard to explain to him that we couldn't stop at every house, just the ones with the lights on. But he loved the experience, and that's what matters.

Before we went Trick or Treating, I decided to make cupcakes and have Ryan help me decorate them. He liked that too, but I think he liked eating the cupcakes (or cuck cakes as he calls them) the best :)
