Deerfield Fair

Last night we went to the Deerfield Fair. It was the first time going for both Ryan and I. Sean had been telling me for about the past, I don't know, 11 year that he would take me, haha! I had heard that the Rochester Fair had been scaled back quite a bit, so we decided to save our money and go to the Deerfield Fair instead.

It was a wonderful time! It was so big, we walked around for about 7 hours looking at everything! And that didn't include any rides, since Ryan is still too little and I think it would scare him more than anything.

The weather was a little chilly, but Ryan got an adorable new sweater that Grand Dan got for him, that he looks SO cute in! I don't have a picture of it yet, but I will take one today.

Ryan was just so well behaved, I couldn't have asked for any better of behavior. Next time we go to a fair though, I am not bringing his little umbrella stroller. It was just too small to navigate through the dirt and rocks and stuff. Good thing we still have his big stroller. Plus his big one reclines and he can sleep if he wants to. Last night we left around 10:30 and by then he was just exhausted! Poor little guy, but he had a blast!

Ryan loved all the tractors that they had around the fairgrounds. I stopped to use the bathroom and came out and Sean and Ryan were sitting on a tractor. I think Ryan knows what he wants for Christmas, haha!

He loved seeing the animals and can now do all sorts of new animal noises. We were very fortunate to get to see a new calf that had just been born a half hour before we got there, and she was so cute and tiny! Momma cow was doing a good job of getting her cleaned up, and the baby seemed pretty happy.

Ryan loved the sheep the best I think because he loved when they bleated. He thought it was hysterical. I didn't get a picture of him laughing because my batteries in my camera died (man! they were new batteries, too!) but Grand Dan got a good picture. I will have to ask him for it. It was priceless. Big belly laughs every time a sheep would bleat. Haha, it was great!

Shortly before we were leaving, we got some onion rings and Ryan was falling asleep in his stroller covering his eyes from the light while we waited for the onion rings to be done cooking. We had a few people stop and comment on how cute he was. I had to agree, but then again, when don't I think he is cute :D

Right before leaving we stopped to see the horses but they had all about gone to bed by that point. We did get to see a beautiful horse being exercised in the ring, he had such beautiful markings. He was mostly brown, and then had black and white spots around his shoulders. Very unique, he was so pretty. My pictures don't do him justice because it was dark outside and the lighting was weird.
