Pumpkin Picking

Yesterday we took Ryan to get a pumpkin, and also get some already bagged apples so I can bake an apple pie for Saturday night.

Ryan was happy to be there, and he was glad that it was close to closing time when we got there, so the tractor was no longer running out to the orchards. He kept looking for it, though. Poor boy, he loves trucks so much but when they are noisy he gets uneasy.

He liked the pumpkins, but he wasn't too interested in picking one out to bring home. He liked to line them all up in a row on the hay, and then clap and say "Yay!" Mommy had to make the executive decision to pick out a cute one :)

We were even lucky to get fresh out of the oven apple cider donuts. They are soooo good!

Auntie Jess came with us, and she and Ryan (and Daddy!) had a lot of fun with the wooden cutouts :D

Right now Ryan's pumpkin is in the window. We will carve it the week of Halloween, so it doesn't go bad. I figure it will be a good project for both kids to do, with new textures and stuff.
