Awww

Tonight Ryan and I were watching "Penguins of Madagascar" (He LOVES them right now) and he was being silly and was trying to tickle me. Well he got a little excited and slapped me in the face. I put my hand up to my face and said all sad, "Oh no Ryan, you hurt Mommy. It makes me sad when you hit." He immediately looked sad too, and rubbed my face and said, "Sorry mama." Then he pointed to my face and asked, "Boo-boo?" And I told him yes, and then he leaned over and kissed my boo-boo. It was one of the proudest moments ever. He is learning empathy and compassion, which I think are so overlooked in teaching children these days. It made my heart melt that he did something and it hurt me, even out of play but he knew it was wrong and tried to make me feel better :)
