Cousin Aubrey's Birthday Party

Today we went to Aubrey's 2nd birthday party. I still can't believe she and Ryan are 2 (well, almost 2 in Ryan's case) already. Time really does fly! Here is a comparison shot from her party last year with them in the ball pit:



Ryan was shy at first, but after about 15 minutes he opened up and was running around with the other little kids there. He had a great time! Someone brought a Little Tikes play gym thingie that the adults set up and the kids had a blast climbing in the tunnels and going down the slide. I think Ryan was on it the most. At one point he was just sitting at the top of the slide and there was quite the line behind him to go down. Mommy was too short, so she had to have Daddy come and get him down, lol :P


We also got to see baby Caylee! She is still so cute and little, I love it! Gives me baby fever though...

Aubrey's big gift was a power wheels, and she LOVED it. All the kids swarmed around her and were trying to teach her how to push the pedal down with her foot to get it to move. Once Ryan saw it moved, he ran right up to it and climbed in the passenger seat. I was kind of surprised! He grabbed the wheel to be like, hey this is how you do it. It was cute!



Inside, they handed out party favors and it was really cute to see all the little kids trying to figure out how to use them. Ryan didn't seem to understand why his didn't work, he would blow on it, and then bite it and it never did seem to work like the other kids.


The weather got really strange for a while - it would be pouring rain, then really sunny and hot, then 20 minutes later it was pouring again. It did this three times and by then, Ryan was just spent for the day. He was exhausted, and as we found out later, dehydrated as well. We had a great time, and next month we will do it all again, only this time, for Ryan!
