Curious George at the Children's Museum

Well, the day started off wandering around Portsmouth looking for a place for breakfast with Sean's family. We quickly learned though that there is really NOTHING there for breakfast for 8 people. Only little cafe's who laugh when we tell them how big our party is. Anywho, after eating breakfast in Dover, we walked over to the Children's Museum because it was Curious George day. Anyone how knows Ryan, knows how much he LOVES George.

We got there and the line just to get into the building was SO long. But because my grandparents and mom are awesome and got us a membership, we were able to go right past the line of people and get right in.

Ryan hadn't been feeling well since Friday night, but it was really starting to come through with sniffles and crankiness. Once he realized where he was, all he wanted to do was go upstairs to play with the trains.

The line to see George was really long, and Ryan really showed no interest whatsoever once he realized where he was. He just ran up the ramp and to the train room.

Upstairs it was super crowded, to the point where there was barely standing room. Now I remembered why I usually take the kids on a random week day. But we ran into a couple friends of ours we hadn't seen in a couple of years and had a great time catching up.

A gentleman stopped me to tell me that Ryan was really good with his hands, as Ryan was taking the knobby things out of the holes and putting them back in. I said, yes, he really has an engineering mind, just like his dad.

Ryan was really content playing in the train room for two hours, and then he looked up at me, said "Bye." And that was it, down the ramp he went. So, no George, which I think I was more disappointed than he was, but all in all, he seemed to have a great time.
