Sleep Deprevation, excitement, nervousness, all rolled into one. That is how I would describe the day we got to bring Ryan home for the first time.
He looked so tiny in the carseat, I wish we had taken a picture :/
It was of course the hottest day of the year so far, in the 90s. I made Sean drive with the AC on in the car, because I didn't want Ryan to overheat. Poor Sean, I know he hates using the AC in his car, but you know what, he did it every single time we got in the car after that, and I never had to ask :)
I remember that our phone had died a couple of nights before my water broke, so we literally left the hospital and went out to buy a new phone. It was great to be outside again, and also to be able to show off my greatest accomplishment ever.
Once we were home, we were so greatful that my grandmother and mom had made us tons of food, because neither one of us felt like cooking or eating. Everything revolved around Ryan and his needs. Breastfeeding every 2 hours, and us trying to take naps when we could kept us pretty busy.

Ryan did great though, we did end up co-sleeping with him for the first month, which was great when he wanted to eat at 2 am and we could barely wake up. What a great feeling it is to wake up in the morning and find that your newborn had snuggled his way right next to mommy. It was purely amazing!
