Ryan's Birth Day!

I was just remembering that I had wanted to post a blog with pictures and stories about Ryan's adventures so everyone can share with us :)

I guess I will start at the beginning!

Ryan was born June 24th, 2007 at 12:33 am. Everyone was sure he was coming on the 23rd, but he sure held on as long as he could. Aunt Lou and Nana think that Uncle Rick and Papa were fighting over which day he would be born: Aunt Lou and Uncle Ricks Anniversary on the 24th, or Papa's birthday on the 23rd.

After 5.5 hours of pushing, Ryan was born and things seemed to get so hectic. They put Ryan on my chest for a few moments, but he was quickly taken over to the warming table for a check up since he had been in the birth canal for so long. He received just a few seconds of oxygen, and pinked up quite nicely, receiving APGAR scores of 8 and 9. He did have a high fever, but it went down quickly.

All the hospital staff did their jobs, and then finally it was time that Sean and I could look at the miracle we now had brought into this world.

People say that your life changes after you have a baby. My mom always told me that you don't know how much you can love someone until you have a child. Well, I am here to say that both of those statements are so true. My heart never felt so full and the feeling is really indescribable.
